#1066 Execute Options

Mister @killerrin asked me if it would be possible to retrieve records with some more flavors, like the pretty new features delivered by Microsoft, specifically Bypass custom Dataverse logic.

Why would we do that? To disable plugins, especially plugins triggering on the message RetrieveMultiple.

With this feature, the retrieve could work faster… Fast, we like it, right?

Improvements

Select result type

It is now much easier to switch between different ways to show the results, instead of opening Optionsā€”Settingsā€”Results, saving the query, and executing it again.

I also added selecting Friendly, Raw, or Both in the menu too.

Integration to SQL 4 CDS – and more!

The integration is now “officially” available under the Send in the menu.

ā“Ask about the new connection

There have been a few opinions about this new – unknown even by me – feature. When we connect to a new connection (or the same one), FXB will harshly reload from the memory of the last time you left the tool and connected to the new one.

Now, when connecting the tool to a new connection, FetchXML Builder will ask if we should keep the current query or reload it as before. We can choose now.

Layout in Excel

The sheet “FetchXML Builder – Source” in the generated Excel file will now also include the Layout XML – if used. Issue #1078

Minor

  • Added more operations in condition nodes. Thanks to @jhwkendall for the request in Issue #1070!
  • Communication with the users is a bit weird when the tool is busy. A bit better now. Issue #1075
  • Remove an unnecessary warning about filter with type AND and link-entity. Issue #1079
  • Settings to remember for the next start of the tool are now saved more often – less risk of losing it.Issue #978

Bugfixes

  • OData / WebAPI links that include a space and a browser profileā€”each space splits the link into several links, which are, of course, broken. Creating a simple work for the issue to replace spaces with dashes. Issue #1074
  • For some weird reason, Excel won’t accept freeze panes. FXB will now just accept that and move on. Thanks to @Paul-CONSOS report Issue #1068!
