Manual installation of FetchXML Builder

If it is not possible to install tools from the Tool Library in XrmToolBox, FetchXML Builder can be installed manually by following these steps:

  1. Browse to latest release for FetchXML Builder https://github.com/rappen/FetchXMLBuilder/releases/
  2. Download file Rappen.XTB.FXB.dll from the release assets..
  3. Select option “Keep” or similar if browser warns about this file.

  1. Open the folder where the file was downloaded.

  1. Right-click the file and select Properties.
  2. Tick checkbox Unblock if it is visible.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Copy downloaded file Rappen.XTB.FXB.dll.
  3. Open the XrmToolBox installation folder.
  4. Create a sub-folder called Plugins.

  1. Open sub-folder Plugins.
  2. Paste file Rappen.XTB.FXB.dll.

  1. Run XrmToolBox.
  2. Latest version of FetchXML Builder should now be installed.
